Course Conduct

The Department of Accounting at El-Amin University offers a dynamic and practical curriculum designed to prepare students for Nigeria’s fast-evolving business landscape. Our courses emphasize fundamental accounting principles, financial reporting, auditing, and tax regulations specific to the Nigerian economy, while also providing insights into international accounting standards. Through a combination of lectures, case studies, and interactive sessions, students develop analytical skills and a solid foundation in both theory and practice.

Students are also exposed to real-world applications through internships, industry partnerships, and hands-on training in modern accounting software. Our goal is to produce graduates who are not only proficient in accounting but also prepared to adapt to Nigeria’s diverse financial sectors, including roles in corporate, governmental, and non-profit organizations. By graduation, our students are equipped with the technical knowledge and practical skills required to thrive as future leaders in the field of accounting.

Department

Description of Courses

This program offers a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and practices. The primary objectives of this programme in accounting include producing skilled accounting professionals who can advance the field through research and publications. The programme aims to impart fundamental knowledge and skills necessary for analyzing accounting-related issues in various sectors such as industries, commerce, public enterprises, and other organizations. Graduates will be equipped with decision-making abilities, particularly analytical skills essential for problem recognition, definition, and solution, including data collection and analysis skills.

The programme also focuses on developing leadership and interpersonal skills in accounting and management among students.Training provided aims to enhance and upgrade the current and potential workforce required for national development. Entrepreneurial skills and competencies are nurtured in students to prepare them for creating accounting job opportunities, especially in the current technological era.

B.A Arabic
Five credits at SSCE (or its equivalent) in Arabic, Islamic studies, Hausa, and two other Arts/Social Science subjects.
Two ‘A’ level credit passes in relevant subjects one of which should be Arabic in NCE or ND with at least a merit level.
UTME subjects are: Arabic, Islamic Studies, Hausa, and English subjects.
B.A. Islamic Studies
Five credit passes at SSCE (or its equivalent) in Arabic, Islamic studies, Hausa, and two other Arts/Social Science subjects.
(a)Two ‘A’ level passes in relevant subjects. One of the advanced level subjects should be Islamic Studies. NCE or ND at merit level.
subjects are: Arabic, Islamic Studies, Hausa, and English subjects.
